MY STORY
Jess Ann Smith's career in crafting jewelry began in 1997. A native of the Carolina’s, she graduated with a BA in Studio Art ~ Sculpture from the College of Charleston in 2000. Then she began looking for ways to create pieces on a small scale. She took her savvy sense of style and moved forward into a world of crafting her unique whimsical jewelry.
Over a decade later, Jess Ann’s collections are sexy and unconventional, constantly evolving. The designs are playful, yet elegant stone combinations set within Sterling Silver and 14K Gold. She loves to mix metals and will use copper and oxidized silver in her pieces as well. Her favorite design is her signature and ever-changing fish lure inspired earrings which combines the look of a fishing lure with the beauty of abalone shells, swarovski crystals, gemstones recycled glass and other natural stones.
Jess Ann uses metalsmithing techniques like soldering and hammering along with wire wrapping techniques. She uses the finest workmanship and the highest quality materials.
